The Baltimore Ravens have taken a 17-0 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL clash against the Atlanta Falcons at the M&T Bank Stadium this evening.
The hosts took the lead on their opening drive as Joe Flacco led them downfield before firing a pass to Owen Daniels in the endzone for a five-yard score.
Matt Ryan had less joy later in the quarter as he fumbled the ball while being sacked, with Elvis Dumervil recovering the ball for a turnover.
The Falcons claimed a turnover of their own on the opening play of the second quarter, however, as Flacco's long pass towards the endzone was intercepted by Robert Alford.
Atlanta couldn't come up with anything on their possession, however, and it was the Ravens who were next to score as they doubled their lead through a one-yard Bernard Pierce touchdown.
Baltimore added another field goal as time expired to extend their lead to 17 points going into the break, with Justin Tucker slotting over a 38-yard kick.
