Larry Fitzgerald has said that he needs to study harder and run faster in order to be a better player.
The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver, who has been hampered with hamstring problems this season, has 422 receiving yards and four touchdowns so far in 2013.
The 30-year-old told the team's official website: "Am I where I want to be? No, but I am better than I was, and that's progress. I'm not one to make excuses. I don't use it as an excuse at all.
"I have to study harder, I have to run faster, I've got to get out of my breaks better. I have to do everything at a higher level and a higher sense of urgency. Be better for [quarterback] Carson [Palmer] and the rest of my team. Plain and simple. Whatever Coach [Bruce] Arians wants me to do I'm going to do it and I'm going to do it better.
"He's won two Super Bowls and been on countless playoff teams. He knows what he's doing, his staff knows what they are doing. I just need to be able to do what he asks me to do."
The Cardinals host the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.
