Jim Ross: 'Live WWE SmackDown tapings would be intriguing'

WWE legend Jim Ross believes that live tapings of SmackDown will restore some "intrigue" to the show.

WWE legend Jim Ross believes that moving SmackDown to a live show on a Tuesday night will restore some "intrigue" to the program.

The Blue Brand is currently taped on a Tuesday for broadcast on a Friday night, which allows fans to see the results of the show before actually tuning in.

The Hall of Famer wrote on his official website: "I do not see SmackDown fading away nor do I think it has to be live to be successful.

"It's doing well on tape on Friday nights but going live on Tuesdays might add a little intrigue and additional value as it relates to the rights fees."

Ross is not expected to be part of the announce team for Wrestlemania XXX in April, despite previously returning behind the table for the supershow.
