WWE superstar CM Punk has reportedly left the company after telling chairman Vince McMahon that he is "going home".
The former WWE champion competed on Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, featuring for over 40 minutes in the over-the-top-rope match before being eliminated by Kane.
However, according to F4WOnline.com, Punk told McMahon ahead of Raw on Monday night that he was flying back to his hometown of Chicago, with no indication of whether he had any intention of returning ahead of Wrestlemania XXX.
Before reports emerged of Punk's apparent departure, the 35-year-old tweeted:
Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool.

WWE.com have removed the superstar from all live events for the next few weeks, but Punk is still advertised to appear at the Elimination Chamber PPV on February 23.
