John Cena reached 18,650,175 Facebook fans on Friday to become the most 'liked' American athlete on the social media site.
The 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion dethroned Los Angles Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant of the position.
Cena, who made his WWE debut on the SMACKDOWN brand in 2002, is the seventh most followed athlete in the world on Facebook, and has more fans than LeBron James, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer.
WWE's network of Facebook pages, which includes Cena and all of their other superstars, has in excess of 172 million 'likes', which is more than the NFL and its 32 teams' pages combined.
The Boston-born brawler will compete in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE title at the February 23 pay-per-view of the same name, which takes place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
