Great Britain snowboarder Jenny Jones has admitted that she is looking forward to the challenge of competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 33-year-old is a three-time gold medal winner from the X Games, but will be appearing in her first Olympics when the slopestyle gets underway later today.

Jones told BBC Sport: "When they announced that slopestyle was going to be in the Olympics I was amazed that it was going to be brought in and quite excited that I had a new challenge.

"Now that I'm going to represent my country it's an amazing feeling. All I'm thinking about is enjoying myself and getting through the first stage of qualification, and into the semis."

The ladies' slopestyle takes place at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park and begins at 10am GMT.
