Stephen Maguire has edged Stuart Bingham in a tense final frame to win the Welsh Open this evening.
The two players went into tonight's final session locked at 4-4 and continued to trade frames towards the finish line.
Maguire took an 8-7 lead with a brake of 77 but was pegged back by Bingham to take the tournament into a deciding frame.
The world number six showed composure to edge ahead and eventually potted a crucial pink to claim his first ranking title for five years.
Maguire showed his delight and relief at clinching a 9-8 victory by wrapping the table with his knuckles after avoiding a snooker to send in a match-winning red.
