Ronnie O'Sullivan has remained coy on his chances of winning a fifth UK Championship title after reaching the fourth round.
The 37-year-old booked his place in the last 16 on Tuesday thanks to a comfortable 6-2 victory over Marcus Campbell.
Despite being among the favourites to win the tournament in York, O'Sullivan believes that there are still a number of players who could lift the trophy.
"There are so many good players in this event," he told BBC Sport. "The danger is everyone thinking me, Ding (Junhui) and Neil (Robertson) are the hot favourites. I believe the winner could come from someone who's just about coming into form now.
"I'm not writing myself off, otherwise there's no point being here, I might as well pack up and throw a sicknote in."
O'Sullivan will meet fellow Englishman Robert Milkins for a place in the quarter-finals.
