Toby Faletau happy with decision to stay

Toby Faletau says that he is happy with his decision to reject a move to France and stay at Newport Gwent Dragons.

Wales number eight Toby Faletau has said that he is settled with Newport Gwent Dragons having turned down a move to the Top 14.

International teammates Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts, Dan Lydiate, James Hook and Luke Charteris have all agreed moves to France recently.

However, the 23-year-old Tongan-born star decided that the time was not right for him to leave the Pro 12 after sitting down with his family to discuss the prospect.

"I sat down with my dad and my family and we just had a chat and we thought it's not the right time to go anywhere so early on in my career," PA quotes Faletau as saying.

"Hopefully, if I get the opportunity again some other time I may go then, but I will just have to see how it goes.

"I am here until 2015-2016, so I will stay focused on that for now."

With their contracts expiring next year, talk of Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny and Alun-Wyn Jones moving to France is already gathering pace.
