Chris Paterson retires from international rugby

Chris Paterson will no longer feature for Scotland following his retirement from international rugby.

Chris Paterson has called time on his rugby career with Scotland at 33 years of age.

The fly-half ends his international career as Scotland's record points scorer and cap holder, with 809 points and 109 appearances for the national team.

Paterson has a tally of 22 tries and 90 conversions as well as 170 penalties throughout his time with the Scottish side.

The Galashiels-born player, who featured in this year's World Cup in New Zealand, made his international debut in 1999 against Spain.
