England to call up Calum Clark

Stuart Lancaster is expected to call up Northampton's Calum Clark for England's Six Nations campaign.

England are expected to include Northampton flanker Calum Clark in their elite player squad for the Six Nations.

The 22-year-old, who has returned from a six-week layoff following thumb surgery, is of interest to interim coach Stuart Lancaster and could replace James Haskell in the 32-man squad, according to The Telegraph.

Clark was close to an England Saxons debut last year but missed out due to injury. However, the flanker is thought to be admired by Lancaster and has been tipped to take the empty back-row spot following the retirement of Lewis Moody.

Clark has racked up 46 appearances for Northampton.
