Stuart Lancaster is delighted that his England charges did not panic during their narrow Six Nations win over Italy in Rome.

England interim coach Stuart Lancaster has praised his players for remaining composed during the 19-15 Six Nations win over Italy.

England conceded two late tries at the end of the first half, before turning the game around after the break.

"We are delighted to get the win," said Lancaster. "We started well but then had a mad five minutes and came in down at half-time.

"The most pleasing thing from that point of view was there was no sense of panic."

The boot of Owen Farrell was key to England's win, as he kicked five from five.

He added: "Owen was fantastic in terms of his temperament and his ability to step up and take those kicks, which kept our scoreboard ticking on."

England's next fixture is against Wales on February 25 at Twickenham.
