Greenwood praises
Will Greenwood pays tribute to a "complete warrior" in Mike Tindall following his former England teammate's retirement announcement.

Will Greenwood has paid tribute to Mike Tindall after his former England teammate announced his retirement from rugby on Tuesday.

Greenwood played alongside the 35-year-old at centre when England lifted the World Cup in 2003, and the latter was keen to underline the importance of the role played by Tindall at the tournament.

"He is a complete warrior of a man who I was privileged enough to stand alongside," Greenwood told Sky Sports News.

"In that World Cup in 2003 people talked about Jonny Wilkinson, Martin Johnson and Lawrence Dallaglio, but the impact that Mike had on that team and that team's success can never be underestimated.

"If I had to pick someone to stand alongside in the game to end all games, Mike Tindall would be that man."

Tindall, who won 75 caps for England, played for Bath and Gloucester in a 17-year career.
