Danny Cipriani: "I want to get back to winning"

Sale Sharks and England fly-half Danny Cipriani reveals that he is determined to add to his trophy cabinet at club and international level.

Danny Cipriani has revealed that he would like to be remembered as a winner when he calls time on his career.

The 26-year-old broke onto the international scene in 2008 after a series of promising displays for Wasps, but he initially failed to live up to his full potential due to injuries and off-the-field incidents.

However, the Sale Sharks fly-half is adamant that he is now fully focused on rugby and is determined to become a winner at the highest level.

Cipriani told the Daily Mail: "Being part of a team that wins big competitions. I had a taste of that at a young age with Wasps and sometimes it felt it was just happening to me and wasn't something I had to work for every day.

"I want to get back to winning. Sport is about winning things."

When asked if he wanted to be part of a winning World Cup squad, he added: "I would absolutely love to part of something like that."

Cipriani has made eight caps for England since making his debut in 2008.
