Hull's Gareth Ellis is found not guilty of violent conduct during his side's recent match with Huddersfield Giants.

Gareth Ellis has been cleared of any wrongdoing during Hull's 22-16 loss to Huddersfield Giants on Sunday afternoon.

The second-rower had been charged by the authorities for allegedly striking Luke Robinson at the KC Stadium.

He was provided the opportunity to lodge an early guilty plea, but the 32-year-old instead opted to challenge the verdict.

His decision was vindicated this evening when a disciplinary committee in Leeds cleared him of the offence.

As a result, the England international is free to play in Saturday's Challenge Cup quarter-final in Perpignan against the Catalans Dragons.
