Jamie Ellis "can't wait to play" for Castleford Tigers

New Castleford Tigers signing Jamie Ellis says that he "can't wait to play" for his new club.

New Castleford Tigers signing Jamie Ellis has said that he "can't wait to play" for his new club after joining from Hull FC three days ago.

Ellis is hoping to impress for the remainder of this season in the hope of starting next year and could make his debut as early as tomorrow against Huddersfield Giants.

"I can't wait to play. When I found out I had the opportunity to come early it is fair to say I was buzzing," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"It is going to be tough, coming in at this stage of the season with not as much game time as I'd have liked under my belt.

"It's a good opportunity to make an early claim for a start next season and I'm going to give it my best shot."

Castleford are in a disappointing 12th this season in the Super League.
