A man who threw a plastic beer bottle ahead of the men's 100m final at the London Olympic Games has been found guilty of public disorder.
Ashley Gill-Webb has been on trial at Stratford Magistrates' Court for launching the bottle metres away from the athletes, including winner Usain Bolt, just seconds before the starting pistol was fired.
The court had heard that the 34-year-old shouted abuse at the Jamaican sprinter by calling him an "a******e" while preparing for the final.
Gill-Webb, who admitted to throwing the bottle, revealed during the trial that he suffered from bipolar disorder.
