Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is to run a half-marathon for a club charity later this month.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is running a half-marathon in aid of a club charity.

The Northern Irishman will be looking to raise money for the Liverpool FC Foundation on March 23 when he undergoes the Born to Run Half-Marathon in the city centre.

He told the club's official website: "The team and I are looking forward to running and finishing the race together, whilst enjoying the atmosphere and raising funds for our Liverpool FC Foundation.

"The foundation plays such an important role in our communities, creating sporting opportunities that have a big impact on people's lives."

The Reds are currently second in the Premier League.
