Jamie Vardy's wife Rebekah has denied allegations that her husband killed a dog after false quotes went viral on social media.
A picture posted by the Twitter user @WeahsCousin claimed to feature an excerpt from Vardy's forthcoming autobiography, My Story, which tells of an incident involving a dog at his former club Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The Twitter user in question is renowned for hoax postings and previously fooled Sky Sports News into repeating a series of falsehoods about Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps.
After the post gained more than 4,000 retweets, Rebekah Vardy took to her own Twitter to reassure her followers that her other half is not a dog murderer.
Are people really that stupid to believe everything they read 😊🙈 no one killed a dog!
