Michael Schumacher's manager has confirmed that the seven-time Formula 1 world champion remains in a "critical but stable" condition following a skiing accident six days ago.
The German hit his head on a rock off-piste at the French resort of Meribel and was airlifted to Grenoble hospital, where he has since undergone two operations.
Former driver Philippe Streiff, a friend of Schumacher, claimed on Friday that there was no longer any danger to his life, but Sabine Kehm has told the public to listen only to the doctors.
"Michael's condition remains critical but stable," Kehm said in a statement.
"We would like to clearly stress that any information regarding Michael's health not coming from the doctors treating him or from his management must be treated as invalid and pure speculation."
Fans dressed in red - the colour of Schumacher's former team Ferrari - during a vigil held to celebrate his 45th birthday outside the hospital on Friday night.
