Christian Horner ends speculation over his future by signing new Red Bull deal

Christian Horner reveals that he has signed a contract extension with Red Bull, which ends speculation about his future.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has revealed that he has extended his contract with the four-time champions.

Reports had suggested that Horner was on the verge of losing his job at last week's Austrian Grand Prix, but the 41-year-old insisted that he wasn't worried and remains hungry to make the team successful again.

He told Sky Sports News: "I didn't lose any sleep over it because it is absolutely not true.

"I recently signed an extension to my contract with Red Bull, I have a great relationship with Dietrich [Mateschitz] and my goal is very much on getting the team back to the situation we were in 18 months ago.

"It is total rubbish. The thing is not to put too much energy into things like that, but in the world we live in sometimes people from rival teams say things and they get picked up and then a story goes on the internet and it goes from there."

Red Bull dominated the sport between 2010-13, but they have struggled since and currently sit fourth in the standings.
