Jenson Button is hoping to deliver the results to Honda that he couldn't achieve in his previous stint with the Japanese engine supplier.
The Briton raced for BAR Honda, and latterly for Honda F1, but endured a tough time behind the wheel, despite winning the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix.
However, the 2009 world champion believes that he has the opportunity to give Honda and McLaren the victories that they crave.
He is quoted by Richland F1 as saying: "We didn't get the results together in '07 and '08, so there's a lot for us to achieve, and to put right if you like, of working together.
"We did obviously have some good times, like in 2006 with our win in Hungary, and at other times we had some very special moments.
"Now we need to build on that, but yes, there is also a lot of unfinished business."
Button joined BAR Honda in 2003, following spells at Williams and Benetton.
