Bjorn Sigurdarson back in favour at Wolverhampton Wanderers?

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett hints that Bjorn Sigurdarson is in the frame to return to the first team, despite falling out of favour.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has hinted that Bjorn Sigurdarson could be in his plans, despite the Icelandic striker falling out of favour.

The 24-year-old, who recently returned to fitness after recovering from a back problem, has not played for Wolves since December 2013.

On Monday, Sigurdarson was part of the Under-21s squad, playing 20 minutes of the team's 2-1 victory over Derby County.

Now, Jackett is considering welcoming the striker into the first team, but only when he is fully fit.

"He was fine, won a couple of flicks, straight down the middle," the Express & Star quotes Jackett as saying. "He'll play some further part in a friendly against Liverpool on Friday.

"It's early days for him coming back and making sure he gets used to playing again, because he's been out for some time. It was always the plan for him to play 20 minutes and build up over the next few weeks in terms of what he's doing."

Sigurdarson, who signed for Wolves in 2012, has had loan spells at Molde and Copenhagen.
