Chris Coleman: 'Gareth Bale gives whole team confidence'

Wales manager Chris Coleman praises the "amazing" Gareth Bale following his display in the 3-1 victory over Iceland.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has heaped praise on Gareth Bale following his eye-catching display in the victory over Iceland on Wednesday night.

Bale scored once and proved to be a constant threat in the 3-1 success in Cardiff, leaving his manager to reveal his delight with the Real Madrid star's display after the final whistle.

"Some of the things he does are absolutely fantastic, it really is," Coleman told Sky Sports News.

"Once we're in a game, if it's 1-0 to us, 1-1 or even 1-0 down, with him on the pitch, we just know we've got a chance to score and the opposition know that. That's a great confidence booster for us.

"He's an amazing player, a fantastic player."

Bale also played a part in the two other goals in the victory for Wales.
