Luciano Vietto "very happy" in Spain

Argentine forward Luciano Vietto reveals his happiness at Villarreal, whom he joined in the summer from Racing Club.

Luciano Vietto has revealed that he is "very happy" at Villarreal following an impressive first half to the season.

The 21-year-old joined the Yellow Submarine from Racing Club in the summer and has netted 12 goals in 23 games for the club, including seven in the league.

A number of foreign youngsters have taken time to settle in La Liga, but Vietto has claimed that he feels comfortable in Spain.

"Villarreal are a great club, that take chances on young players, this has allowed me to learn and grow. They were a team that showed a lot of interest in me and I think that's something worth noting," Inside Spanish Football quotes Vietto as saying.

"I want to show my appreciation for their gesture and show how excited I was to come here and that's why I made the decision I did.

"These past 6 months in Spain have very good and very positive. These have been the first few months in my career where I have lived out of my home country and the truth is that I'm very happy at how things have progressed."

Vietto signed a five-year deal with Villarreal in August.
