Striker Itay Shechter says that he is happy to have returned to Kaiserslautern following his season-long loan at Swansea City.

Itay Shechter has described himself as "really happy" after returning to parent club Kaiserslautern following a loan spell with Swansea City.

The Israel striker scored just one goal for the League Cup winners during a season-long spell at the Welsh side.

"I'm really happy to be back home. I experienced a tough season," The Sun quotes the 26-year-old as saying.

"I didn't feel part of the team. I had to take a step back to regain confidence and enjoy playing once more."

Shechter made 20 appearances for the Swans.
