Leroy Fer urges Swansea City to "get better" following defeat to Leicester City

Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer says that the team need to improve and "keep believing" after they lost 2-1 to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer has called for improvements after the team lost 2-1 to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

The 26-year-old pulled a goal back for the Swans in the 80th minute after trailing 2-0 following goals from Jamie Vardy and Wes Morgan.

However, it was not enough to lead a comeback as Francesco Guidolin's side recorded their second Premier League defeat on the bounce.

"From 2-0 behind we got a good goal at the right time," BBC Sport quotes Fer as saying. "We tried to score the second goal and we were strong in the end. I think we were unlucky but we can't concede goals like [Leicester's second] from a corner.

"We keep saying it but keep doing it. We have to get better than that because if you concede those goals it can make a massive difference.

"We need to keep believing and do what what we did in last 20 minutes, when we could have made it 2-2 ,and take that into the next game."

Swansea will welcome Chelsea to the Liberty Stadium on September 11 after the international break.
