Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino appears to play down any interest in signing Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that he will not sign any new players without sales being completed during the January window.

Pochettino failed to make a single first-team addition in the summer, but the North London outfit have been linked with a number of players - including Aston Villa's Jack Grealish - ahead of the next transfer window.

However, Pochettino has indicated that he has no room in his squad for any fresh faces, claiming that the situation regarding his Champions League selection highlights that he does not need to be active at the start of 2019.

At a press conference, the Argentine told reporters: "Look, I think there were plenty of players linked with Tottenham, not only last summer but in the previous season. You know it's difficult to talk about rumours, about names. We'll see what happens in January.

"We have a full squad, we have 28 in the squad. It's impossible to sign players if we don't have the space. We have more, look what happened in the Champions League with Juan Foyth, GK [Georges-Kevin] Nkoudou and Vincent Janssen.

"We don't have enough space at the moment. I think it makes no sense now to talk about signing players."

Pochettino has signed just one player - Lucas Moura - since the beginning of 2018.
