Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino insists that Harry Kane is "so happy" at the club, but admits he cannot give assurances over his long-term future.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Harry Kane "loves" the club amid continued speculation over his future.

Kane has emerged as one of European football's most prolific goalscorers in recent seasons and at the weekend reached the 100-goal mark in the Premier League after only 138 games - the second-fewest number of matches to ever reach that landmark.

A number of top clubs - most notably Real Madrid - have been credited with an interest in Kane, and his former England teammate Wayne Rooney admitted that the Spurs hitman could leave North London in search of silverware.

Pochettino acknowledged that he could not provide any long-term assurances over Kane's future, but is confident that he is "happy" at the club.

"That is a question for him, not me. Of course, he wants to score goals and win titles but I cannot say anything more about this," Pochettino told reporters.

"He is so happy here and he loves Tottenham but this is a personal question, regarding what he thinks and how he feels. I cannot answer for him."

Kane is currently contracted to Tottenham until 2022.
