Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey believes that Spurs will be "fine" when they take on Norwich City in the League Cup tonight.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey believes that he and his teammates can draw on their performances in the Premier League to knock Norwich City out of the League Cup.

The two clubs come together in the fourth round of the competition tonight and Dempsey is confident that the weekend's 2-1 win over Southampton will give Spurs the edge heading into the fixture.

"It's going to be a difficult game," Dempsey told Spurs TV Online. "I saw the game against Villa. It was at Villa Park and they were taking it to them in the second half so Norwich are a team that does have quality and a good work rate.

"We will have to be sharp and put in a professional performance, but I feel that if we go there and play as we are capable of and perform as we did in the first half at Southampton, we will be fine."

Spurs travel to Carrow Road for the match.
