Marco Verratti "happy" at Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti says that he is happy playing for the Ligue 1 champions, despite suggestions that he could move away from the club in the summer.

Marco Verratti has said that while he is proud to have been linked with a number of Europe's biggest clubs, he is currently happy at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 22-year-old has emerged as a key player for the Ligue 1 champions over the past couple of seasons and recent reports have suggested that Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus are among the clubs interested in signing him.

"I haven't played in Serie A, but if that were a problem for me, it would mean that I'm unhappy in Paris," he told reporters. "Every Italian wants to play in Serie A, but I'm building up some great experiences and for the moment I'm not nostalgic, because I'm very happy here in Paris.

"When great teams look at you it's always a source of pride. It means you're doing well and you're on the right track. A great future stems from a great present, so I must take things one game at a time.

"The present for me is Paris and I'm delighted with the trust that I'm being given. I don't think about the future. Two or three years are not enough to call yourself a great footballer. I'm at the beginning, but I'm happy about what I've done so far."

Verratti is currently with the Italy squad that are preparing to face Bulgaria and England over the next week.
