Lucas Digne: 'I will get my Paris Saint-Germain chance'

Lucas Digne is certain that he will get his chance for Paris Saint-Germain as he still awaits his debut since joining in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne believes that he will get a chance at regular football at the Parc des Princes in the near future.

The 20-year-old joined the Ligue 1 champions during the transfer window from Lille, having enjoyed a success summer winning the U20 World Cup with the French national side.

However, Digne has had to play second fiddle to Maxwell since the start of the new campaign, but is confident that he will get his opportunity to impress.

"Things were clear to me at the start of July, when I got calls from Leonardo and Laurent Blanc," Digne told Le Parisien. "Monaco were interested but I never really thought about going there. I knew where I wanted to go.

"Joining the French champions, a big squad with top quality players, to play in Champions League. The rest was not important. I was told that I would be in competition with Maxwell and that there was no first choice at left-back.

"Am I disappointed? It would be a bit sad if I was disappointed at PSG after just three weeks! When will I play? Ask Laurent Blanc! He told me he will be counting on me in the near future. There are three games per week to be played from mid-September until December. I will get my chance. Maxwell? He is a special guy. He is open and always ready to give advice. He also speaks perfect French!"

Digne has been an unused substitute in all four of PSG's league matches so far.
