Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman will not give up on playoff ambitions

Nottingham Forest will find it tough to make the Championship playoffs after their 3-1 loss to Norwich City, admits manager Dougie Freedman.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has admitted that his side have a hard task to finish in the top six of the Championship this season after yesterday's 3-1 loss to Norwich City.

Jonny Howson, Cameron Jerome and Wes Hoolahan gave the Canaries a victory which leaves Forest 10 points off the playoff places with only seven games remaining this season.

Freedman told BBC Sport: "There's no way we are going to stop fighting for a top-six finish, even though it will be tough. As manager of Nottingham Forest I would expect nothing less from the players.

"We will continue to show spirit and commitment for the rest of the season and battle hard for every point and we'll be going all out to win our next two games against Wolves and Brentford.

"If we can take six points from those, who knows what might happen?"

Forest next face fellow playoff hopefuls Wolverhampton Wanderers on April 3.
