Zinedine Zidane responds after Jose Mourinho admits he wants Gareth Bale

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane fails to rule out selling Gareth Bale after Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admitted that he wants to sign the Welshman.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has refused to comment directly on claims made by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho regarding his desire to sign Gareth Bale.

The Portuguese coach told the media during his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's UEFA Super Cup that he will try to sign Bale if the Welshman becomes available.

Reports have emerged in recent days suggesting that Zidane is open to offloading the former Tottenham Hotspur star in order to make room for AS Monaco teen Kylian Mbappe.

Mourinho admitted that he would "fight with other coaches" to nab Bale's signature, and he believes that the 28-year-old's future will become clear depending on whether or not he plays against United in the Super Cup.

When asked about Bale, Zidane told reporters: "What's important is he is well and, on top of that, he's had a lot of continuous training sessions with us.

"At the end of last season, it was not easy for him as he was almost four months out of the team with injury. Now he's very well and very concentrated. What interests me is it's not important what has been said, it's what we are going to do tomorrow."

Bale has won eight titles, including three Champions League trophies, since joining Real in 2013.
