West Ham United are reportedly considering a loan move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini in next month's transfer window.

West Ham United are reportedly considering a January swoop for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Hammers need a helping hand to turn their season around, having won just three of their 14 Premier League games so far.

With the busy winter schedule approaching, manager Slaven Bilic is believed to be looking at various options to strengthen a squad that currently sit just one point above the relegation zone.

According to the London Evening Standard, signing Fellaini on loan is one such option, and Bilic has received backing from co-chairman David Sullivan to delve into the market.

Fellaini featured regularly under United manager Jose Mourinho in the early stages of the season, but has failed to hold down a first-team spot of late.

The midfielder also gave away a penalty against his former club Everton just one minute after coming on as a late substitute in last Sunday's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

It is believed that Bilic is keen to add some physical strength to his team, and would consider playing Fellaini in the middle of the park or in a more attacking role.
