Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney would prefer to move to Barcelona ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea should he leave Old Trafford this summer, according to a report.

Wayne Rooney would reportedly prefer a move to Barcelona should he leave Manchester United this summer.

The 27-year-old reportedly handed in a transfer request at the Red Devils last season and has been linked with several clubs since the end of the campaign.

However, Rooney has outlined Barcelona over Arsenal and Chelsea as the club he would want to join if United wish to sell the England international, reports The Sun.

Rooney is due to hold talks with new manager David Moyes before the start of pre-season, and the Scot will reportedly ask the striker to stay at Old Trafford.
