Derby County boss Steve McClaren is hopeful that Manchester United will agree to extend Michael Keane's loan spell at Pride Park.
The 20-year-old's spell with the Rams is due to expire for the clash with Yeovil Town next week, but the former England boss is hoping to retain the services of the youngster until the end of the season.
He told The Derby Telegraph: "We have got him to the Yeovil game and then it is up to Manchester United and himself to make the decision.
"But we definitely want to keep him to the end of the season."
County sit fourth in the Championship table, 10 points adrift of leaders Leicester City.
