Juventus, Inter Milan 'drop Matteo Darmian interest'

Juventus and Inter Milan reportedly decide to end their interest in a loan deal for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.

Juventus and Inter Milan have reportedly decided against a loan move for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.

The full-back has been at Old Trafford since 2015, but the 29-year-old has been frequently linked with a return to Italy over the past 12 months.

A number of clubs in Serie A have expressed a desire to sign Darmian, but according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus and Inter have ended their interest in the player.

The report claims that United have demanded €6m (£5.23m) for a half-season loan deal followed by a €6m (£5.23m) option to buy at the end of the campaign, terms which have not been accepted by either club.

Darmian has barely been used by United over the past 18 months, and caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has only handed the former Torino man one start and one substitute outing in his opening seven games.
