Everton lead the race for Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, according to a report.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen to bring Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira to Goodison Park during the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old has not been involved for the Old Lady during the 2020-21 campaign and is widely expected to leave either at the start of 2021 or on a free transfer next summer.

Manchester United and West Ham United have both been credited with an interest in the midfielder, who has been capped on 77 occasions by the German national team.

However, according to Calciomercato, Everton lead the race for Khedira, with the five-time Serie A winner keen to reunite with Ancelotti, whom he played under at Real Madrid.

The report claims that the Germany international is still training with Juve on a regular basis but is unlikely to be involved in the coming weeks unless there is an injury crisis at the club.

The World Cup winner has made 144 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions.
