Saturday's Premier League predictions including Man City vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Manchester City vs. Chelsea.

Man City vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)

A highly-anticipated top-of-the-table clash kicks off the Premier League action on Saturday, as Manchester City welcome closest challengers Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium for a lunchtime battle.

Pep Guardiola's men currently sit 10 points clear of their upcoming opponents in the standings, with another defeat for the Blues seemingly rendering their title charge impossible.

We say: Manchester City 2-0 Chelsea

Even if Man City are unable to recover some of their unnamed players from COVID-19 infection, Guardiola's side are refreshed, a force to be reckoned with at home and need no added incentive to all but extinguish the Blues' title hopes.

Chelsea ought to be buoyed by two professional performances against Tottenham, but Man City away is a whole different kettle of fish, and we expect fatigue to work against the Blues as the champions extend their lead at the top.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Burnley vs. Leicester (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having now lost one of their chief goal threats, relegation-threatened Burnley play host to a depleted Leicester City side at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

The two sides suffered differing fortunes in the FA Cup last time out, with the Clarets bowing out to Huddersfield Town while Brendan Rodgers's side comfortably saw off Watford.

We say: Burnley 0-2 Leicester City

With Leicester hoping to be boosted by several major returns from injury, a Burnley side lacking a proper presence up top will surely fall short again once more.

The Clarets have their own COVID-19 cluster to worry about, and confidence will not exactly be high after bowing out of the FA Cup to lower-league opposition, so a win and clean sheet should be on the menu for Leicester.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams battling for their lives towards the bottom of the Premier League table will lock horns at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon, as Newcastle United welcome Watford.

Newcastle are currently 19th in the division, boasting just 11 points from their opening 19 matches, while Watford are 17th, just two points clear of their opponents this weekend.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Watford

Newcastle will view this match as the perfect chance to secure their second league victory of the campaign, but Watford will also believe that they can cause problems to their fellow strugglers; it should be a close game at St James' Park, but we are backing Wood to find the back of the net in a 2-1 home success.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Norwich vs. Everton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Everton will be looking to record their first Premier League victory since the start of December when they travel to basement side Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

The Toffees are currently 15th in the table, just eight points clear of the relegation zone, while Norwich sit rock bottom of the division, having collected just 10 points from 20 games this term.

We say: Norwich City 1-2 Everton

Norwich will end their losing run at some point, but we are finding it difficult to back the Canaries this weekend. Everton have had their own problems this term, but the Toffees have a lot of quality, and we are expecting Benitez's side to put an important three points on the board.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Wolves vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams in impressive form will lock horns in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Southampton to Molineux.

Wolves are currently eighth in the table, boasting 28 points from their 19 league matches this season, while Southampton occupy 11th spot, four points behind their opponents this weekend.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Southampton

This is a very difficult match to call, as both sides will enter the contest in good confidence. Wolves will fancy their chances of triumphing on home soil, but Southampton were excellent against Brentford last time out, and we are backing the two sides to share the spoils at Molineux.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Man Utd (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils recorded a 1-0 victory over Villa when the two teams met in the FA Cup on Monday, with Scott McTominay scoring the only goal of the third-round contest at Old Trafford.

We say: Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester United

This is a very tough match for Man United, and Villa will be confident after their impressive performance on Monday night. The Red Devils have such a strong record at Villa Park, though, and when taking into account Villa's recent form, we are backing the visitors to navigate their way to a huge three points here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
