Wayne Rooney: 'Fernando Torres is still a threat'

Wayne Rooney thinks that Fernando Torres doesn't get the credit he deserves and will be wary of him when Manchester United go to Chelsea today.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes that Fernando Torres will be a big threat when his side travels to Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Rooney also thinks that Chelsea will provide United with a tough test, having added speed to their Champions League winning side.

"They have brought in some fantastic players and added more speed to the team," Rooney said in The Sun. "The important thing first of all is to make sure we defend well against them and then try to score.

"As for Torres, of course he is still a threat. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves because he works hard for the team.

"Sometimes the goals go in for him and others they don't but he's always trying."

United go into the game four points behind the league leaders.
