Gary Neville won't rule Manchester City out of the title race but believes that they have a huge task to overcome Manchester United.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has refused to rule Manchester City out of the Premier League title race but believes that it is unlikely that the current champions will chase down their fierce rivals.

The Red Devils have a 12-point lead at the top of the table due to their 2-0 win over Everton and City's 3-1 slump to Southampton.

"I think Manchester United's concentration will be so much higher this year after last year, when they were eight points clear with six games to go and didn't win it," Neville told BBC Radio Five Live.

"There's a long way to go, and points will be dropped. But looking at City's performance on Saturday when they lost 3-1 at Southampton, they have got to start playing well before they can even think of catching United."

Meanwhile, Man City boss Roberto Mancini has blamed his players for dropping points in the title race.
