Ryan Giggs remains upbeat following Team GB's 2-0 defeat to Brazil.

Ryan Giggs is confident that Team GB will put this evening's 2-0 defeat to Brazil behind them and improve ahead of the Olympics.

Stuart Pearce's side were outclassed by the South Americans, but the Manchester United veteran remains upbeat.

"It was a good game to be involved in and it's always special to play against Brazil," The Metro quotes Giggs as saying.

"They are ahead of us fitness wise and we have only been together two weeks. We are getting better and better and we will improve as the tournament goes on. It was a good benchmark for us."

Team GB went down to a first-half goal from Sandro and a Neymar penalty.

They start their Olympic campaign against Senegal at Old Trafford on Thursday, and will also face Uruguay and the UAE during the group stage.
