Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus reportedly hold talks to revive their Super League idea, which Florentino Perez, Joan Laporta and Andrea Agnelli refuse to give up on.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have reportedly held new talks over reviving the European Super League, eight months after the proposal was first launched.

The project was first announced in April 2021 and included agreements from Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

The six English clubs, two Italian outfits and Atletico all withdrew from the proposed Super League after the idea caused controversy across the football community, but the trio of Los Blancos, Barca and Juve all remained open to the idea.

According to The Mirror, senior officials from the three clubs in question have all met and are ready to relaunch their Super League proposal, seeking to adopt a legal approach that would create a sustainable project also.

Florentino Perez, Joan Laporta and Andrea Agnelli are said to have agreed, in October, on five key changes to the proposed competition rules in their first attempt to revive the Super League.

The proposal in April caused a backlash from fans, particularly in the UK, and so Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juve hired a major London-based PR firm to help win the vote of fans from the Premier League clubs.
