Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire is reportedly closing in on a world-record move to Manchester City.
Maguire has been strongly linked with both Manchester United and City since the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
However, according to The Mirror, the Citizens have won the race to sign the England international, who will collect £280,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium.
The report claims that City will pay £80m for the 26-year-old, which will be a world-record deal for a defender, eclipsing the £75m that Liverpool spent to land Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
Maguire, who only signed a new five-year contract at the King Power Stadium last September, has scored five times in 76 appearances for the Foxes since arriving in 2017.
Pep Guardiola's side are in the market for a new centre-back to replace Vincent Kompany as the Belgian prepares to leave the club to take up a player-manager role at Anderlecht.
