Claudio Bravo "calm" at Manchester City

Claudio Bravo says that he is remaining "calm" at Manchester City, despite losing his goalkeeping position to summer signing Ederson.

Claudio Bravo has insisted that he is remaining "calm" at Manchester City, despite the Chile international losing his position to summer signing Ederson.

Bravo was brought to the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2016 as a replacement for Joe Hart, but the former Barcelona goalkeeper struggled to make his mark during the 2016-17 campaign.

Ederson is now the undisputed number one at City following his summer move from Benfica, with Bravo's position relegated to EFL Cup stopper.

The 34-year-old, however, has insisted that he is content with life in Manchester, and will do all he can to help Ederson improve as a goalkeeper during his time at the club.

"I'm calm, I've always been calm since day one here. You can only prepare well for when you're needed," Bravo told reporters.

"[Tuesday] was one of those nights, we hope that it happens again, not with so many problems but we hope it happens again and when you're called upon, you do it as best as possible, you support the team as much as you can.

"I've got a lot of experience and I support Eddy (Ederson), who is doing well, he's a young keeper who needs people advising him. We get on well. It would be egotistical to not help him grow, to not give him some words of advice. I think it's my job, with my experience, and it helps things go well and helps us to achieve things."

Bravo's third City appearance of the season came in Tuesday's penalty-shootout win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the EFL Cup.
