Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Burnley could line up for Wednesday's Premier League showdown with top-four chasing Liverpool at Turf Moor.

Burnley could once again be without goalkeeper Nick Pope for Wednesday's Premier League clash against Liverpool at Turf Moor.

The England international missed out against Leeds United last time out due to a niggling knee injury, and has been described as "touch and go" ahead of the visit of top-four-chasing Liverpool.

However, Sean Dyche is unlikely to take any risks with his number one given that there is little left to fight for this season and the European Championship is just around the corner.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell is therefore expected to fill in for this game, despite having conceded 14 goals in his four appearances this term, ending up on the losing side on each occasion too.

The Clarets will also be without Dale Stephens due to an ankle problem, while Robbie Brady, Phil Bardsley and Kevin Long all remain sidelined.

Dyche's options for rotation are limited due to a small squad size, but he could look to make changes for the final home game of the season given their 4-0 defeat to Leeds United last time out.

Every player will be desperate to feature in Burnley's first game back in front of fans, and Ashley Barnes will be among those pushing for a recall after scoring the winner at Anfield in the reverse fixture.

Barnes could therefore become the first Burnley player since Willie Irvine in 1965-66 to net home and away against Liverpool in the same league season.

Burnley possible starting lineup: Peacock-Farrell; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Brownhill, Cork, Westwood, McNeil; Wood, Barnes
