Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: 'We can't just rely on Luis Suarez for goals'

Brendan Rodgers says that the team cannot solely rely on Luis Suarez to find goals for Liverpool following the injury blow to Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his team should not solely rely on Luis Suarez to find goals during Daniel Sturridge's absence.

The Merseyside outfit are expected to be without the England international for six to eight weeks due to an ankle injury.

Rodgers has suggested that, with the 24-year-old out of action, summer signings Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto will have the chance to prove their worth.

"With Daniel out, other players who have been working hard will get an opportunity," the Liverpool Echo quotes Rodgers as saying.

"We now have to find a different way to win games. We can't just rely on one player for goals. It's the responsibility of everyone."

The Reds will take on Norwich City at Anfield this evening following their 3-1 defeat to Hull City on Sunday.
