Jurgen Klopp 'waiting to address' ongoing Mamadou Sakho situation

Jurgen Klopp is waiting for "the right moment" to hold talks with Mamadou Sakho after the defender took to Snapchat to air his frustration at being frozen out.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he will "address the situation" with outcast defender Mamadou Sakho when the time is right.

The Frenchman took to Snapchat ahead of the Reds' meeting with Hull City on Saturday afternoon to speak of his disappointment at being frozen out at Anfield.

Sakho was sent home from the club's pre-season tour of the United States in the summer after breaching protocol, though he rejected a move to Stoke City on transfer deadline day and still remains a part of Liverpool's squad.

Asked about the comments made by the 26-year-old in the build-up to the 5-1 win over Hull, Klopp told reporters: "The thing is I was kind of confronted with this, somebody told me on Saturday morning there was something I should know about.

"Actually on a match day I'm really in a completely wrong mood to think about things like this. I know something was on the thing that neither of us use [Snapchat]. But it's not the right moment to speak.

"Most of the times in life it makes sense to think about something and then it's more likely that you give the right answer. It's not positive I would say. I will address the situation when I think it's the right moment. I haven't decided when that is yet. But it's not Christmas."

Sakho last featured for Liverpool in the derby meeting against Everton in April when he scored the second of his side's four goals in the emphatic victory.
