Juventus are reportedly considering offering experienced forward Gonzalo Higuain a new contract.
The 31-year-old has scored once and provided one assist in four outings for Juve this season, having returned to the club over the summer following loan spells at AC Milan and Chelsea.
Higuain has netted 56 times in 109 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions, but the Argentine will see his current deal in Turin expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Calciomercato, Juve are working on a new contract for the Argentine as a signal of his importance under Maurizio Sarri, who has replaced Massimiliano Allegri as head coach of the Italian champions.
Higuain played the final 18 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 win over Hellas Verona, where Aaron Ramsey scored his first goal for the Serie A giants following a switch from Arsenal.
